Aquamarin is carrying Solite but there isn't any new shipment for quite a while. They do not have stock for 2 feet. Once in a while, you may get a sale from a fellow AQ forumer.

NA T5HO is in a different league from Solite.

At the end of the day, work within your budget.

Also when choosing your T5 lightsets, look at the reflector designs. Are this just a single piece of reflective metal? Individual pieces of reflectors for each tube? Parabolic reflectors? Do you need a casing? Or you like retrofits? Are you concerned with the type of eBallast used? Do you want fans built-in?

Answers to the above will help you make any decisions to your purchase.

Hi chipsetboy, don't mind can share with me the damage on the Solite 2-feet light set if you'd bought it... Can take pics if you have time? Thinking of getting a set too if it falls within my budget... Really spending a lot on this hobby ever picking up...

Hi, i'm a newbie....
Always heard many of you said eBallast, actually how big is the size?
At lfs when i look at those 3ft 39w x 2 (T5HO), i don't see the ballast, is it hidden somewhere....
If i get those normal T5HO from lfs, if the eBallast has problem, am i able to replace it?
Is it T5HO is more better than normal FL?

Ya, i was been Petmart by Labour Day asking for the details of 3 Ft Solite 4*39 T5HO. But surprisingly, it was not carried in market long time ago but 2 tube T5HO still exist in local.

Due to the preferences of 4 tubes, thus i do not choose the model.


Anyone seen the 4 tube model please give siren.

What you can do, if you really want those individual reflectors, is to get two of those 2 tube lights, and then physically connect them together side by side to form a single 4 tube unit. There're screws on the set designed for you to link two sets of solite lights side by side. Not sure if that's more expensive, but thats what I did. But then again, for my case, I bought a set first, before deciding to buy a second set.

But my light's 2 ft. Not sure if the 3 ft lights are able to do that. Please ask the people selling you the lights.

Hi justin, I went down to Aquamarin and enquired about 2 feet 4 tubes Solite. They also do not carry it anymore. Anyone knows why?

Anyway, the guy mumbled something about Solite (but not 2 feet), but I wasn't paying attention or my memory failed me, as my concern was on 2 feet. But guess you can call them to equire in case they still got it.
