currently my tank(75 X 38 X 40cm) has 3X36W in 2 light casing.. i was thinking if i could covert one of them to 2X55W i can save a casing and with that i can start another tank..( very tempted to start another one hehe) but... many pics i see most pple use more than 1 light casing..
will there be a difference if i use one light casing or 2?? will the light spread evenly if i use only 1 55WX2?? or is it better with 2X36 in 1 casing and in another 1X36W.. imo i think its very wasteful for the casing to hold on 1X36 with a 2X36W ballast.. so i was thinking whether i shld convert or not... any advise???

FL/PL tubes can effectively last for 6 months. Therefore, it is advisable to change within that time. I know NA Nature has them now, but what if they don't have them in the near future. The 55W tubes/ballast are not very common in the market, so it's not very advisable to use them (my opinion only). Unless you space is critical and you cannot spare for another casing, then 55W is the way to go. If not, use the conventional 36W tubes.

One way is that you stock up. This way you don't have to worry about availabilty.

    Juz my 2 cents worth

Price of the 55watt tubes are cheap compare in terms of watts to price. worth it to upgrade, i even think of upgrading it to 2x55watts or even better 3x55.
    Cheers!
