Went home after a sweltering day inda office. Saw my digital thermometer in my 1.5ft showing 32.4C!! OMG!! Even with a fan it doesn't seems to cool the water a bit. Hopefully those having those $$$CRS will monitor the water temp more closely these days.

Had cold shower instead of my usual hot. Had to turn on the A/C as my kids are perspiring badly...poor them! Guess the bills will be going up soon at the end of this moth...urgh!

    Anyone feeling the heat too?

    I have a balcony tank sized 4x1.5x1.5'.
The balcony isn't covered so its pretty much an open-air tank.
The last time the heat was on... it got to 37C!
Casualty list 3xABN's, 12xoto, a few dozen shrimps...

This time I have a places a fan to run 24 hours.
The temp is barely kept at 30 to 31C.
    But that's sufficient for survival.
I may need to add another fan as the really hot times aren't really here yet.
Evaporation is... ... for lack of a better choice of word.
If I extrapolate from the one really hot day I may loose as much as 10 to 15 % in three days.

The heat killed all my xmas moss, the fronds have withered and the ones left are only the brown color stem and for some even the stems were not left behind.

Too bad ..there is no LFS in Saudi. Reason is water are extremely pricey and precious.Let take a good look at this one really happen in Saudi.

1 liter of petrol is SGD 0.30 but 1 liter of water is SGD 4.50!

    Then we drink petrol ..huh!
    cheers

Huh? learn something new? going to setup Saudi's 1st LFS biz ?

Better not...Saudi's authorities will increase 15x the normal water price and 320% tax on LFS biz if anyone set up LFS.

Reason is by promoting wasting water on any unnecessary activities. Even private-owned cars arent wash for years except for its front windscreens.
    cheers

There may not be in saudi, but I have been to one in the UAE, Abu Dhabi. Pretty well stocked in terms of equipment too.
