Cool and interesting. Just wondering will their exoskeleton have eye holes?
Quite interesting little things. Although blind, they seem to be able to navigate around the tank without hitting anything. No problems finding food either.
They munch on plants: you can see the H. difformis trails in their tummy.
Anyone have these or tried spawning them? It will be interesting to see how they do it since visual cues will be quite pointless.

p.s. They are a pain to photograph due to their mindless zipping around the tank.

God will make a way, where there seems to be no way
I read that they have eyes when young but loose them as they grow... so I would think that they will still have eye sockets?
Apparently they grow to 12cm???![]()

ck,
where did you get them from?
Interesting fish, why don't you try breeding them?

They seem to be everywhere recently. I got mine from the northern LFSs.
Breed?? I will be glad if I can keep them alive. See my title above. hahaha.
Anyone seen/kept 12cm big blind cave fish before?

Very interesting fish.will they loss out on food when they are in with other tank-mate?
Amazingly, they are able to hunt down the food pellet whether it is floating or sinking.
