    Just bought a piece of no brand 36watts pl light tube for 3 smallest note $6 . Anyone expert can advise me on the difference between brand like (elibru,osram,philip etc) and those koo chin koo rug lesser known brand? What is the best white pl light? What are price range and where can get good price tube. Thanx

    I would say life time and light spectrum. I was told that china brand will lost it brightness very fast

    you can find better light tubes from companies such as osram and philips. look for those that has a colour temperature of 6500k, which is daylight.

    My opinion is the reliability & light spectrum.

    1) Our eyes cant differential brightness
    2) Original china light might be bright initially but might lose the brightness fast
    3) Technology. Company like Philips and Osram have done a lot of research to understand about light. China companies who sell tubes at $3 mainly copy I guess
    4) Safety. I bought 1 china tube before, the area which holds the pins melted and crack due to heat.

    second that. I'm using OSRAM my self not that expensive, If I remember corectly it is under $10 for 55W PL.
