    Hi anyone got any idea why the motor is moving but the water don't come out and the motor become very hot

    Have you primed it? (sucked on the output hose so water fills up the canister via the intake hose)

    You may be running the impellor dry

    Oh yes as i have use this filter for some time, anyway this happen when the filter is running

    it is highly likely that your filter got air locked. stop your filter and remove the inlet/outlet tube attachment. fill up the filter with water.

    Is your filter at the same level as the tank? It needs gravity to work properly. Just guessing...

    i think so. i also have the same problem when the canister is the same level with the tank. After i lowered the canister, the problem solved.

    Agree could be a priming problem. Can try the methods in this thread http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...ead.php?t=1541

    I have also tried using a siphoning hose to prime the filter. I connect the intake end of the siphon to the output end [in the tank] of the Eheim. Turn on the filter and then start pumping. Hopefull this provides enough suction to start the cycle.
