    hello guys! a friend of my bought a new pH pen yesterday and calibrated it.
    pH reading for upp thomson road is 7.9!!!!!!! the last time (about few months back) i measured was 7.0 ....

    I measured mine at Mohd. Sultan Road (River Valley area) today. pH at 7.8!!!

    age the water with anti-chlorine, it will lower the pH
    it works for me

    nothing new... the reading for cck area has been hitting 8 for the last one year.

    i aged with anti chlorine for 24hours and it recorded 7.9.
    does it mean if i did not it would be above 8.0??

    try aging the water with k leaves. always works for me.

    Wretched NEW WATER... with all the mineral deposits recycled from our body previously, its no wonder the water is so hard....

    As I have mentioned is various threads on water quality in SG.
    When the weather gets too warm and the rains stay away...
    More "new" water is added to the mix of our taps.
    Hence the chemicals to "sterilize" the water increases.
    And ultimately, creates water that can "kill" fish.

    the pH of my tap water is 7.8
    age for 3 days with anti-chlorine, the pH drop to 7.4
