    A warm hello to all.
I have a 4-footer at home that used to house my marine fish.
By marine fish, I meant: go fishing, catch some fish, keep them alive, and dump them in the tank.
My collection got depleted as my waistline grew though I doubt that they were even remotely related.
In time, my tank is left empty and since I'm now into the "catch-and-release" fad, I did not replenish my fresh seafood holding area.

I then converted my marine tank to freshwater but was at a loss as to why my plants were not growing well (read - dying).
Pity there are no books like "Keeping Low-Tech Planted Tank for Dummies" or "ABCs of ..." you get the idea.
Maybe there are but this dummy did not look hard enough.

Finally, I sought some advice from my colleague, Edwin Poh (could not find his name as the referrer) and he recommended this website.
Another colleague, Theodore Tng, chipped in with some advice and I'm on my way to a whole new set-up.

I make it a point now to check out the forum for tips and know-hows.
Kudos for maintaining this great forum!
