I had a problem with my Co2 canister and it wasnt working for past 2 weeks. As a result, I am hit by hair algae.

Once my canister is working, does the hair algae automatically goes away ?

I am "combing" them every day with my fine net....

there are oto and yamato, and shrimps, but not too effective

No algae will go away automatically. Get your Canistor working and then do a clean up on all the algae in the tank you can see. then maintain a proper fert regime and WC regime to maintain a good environ for the plants then it is harder for algea to grow again.

The only thing that works for me is Malayan shrimp. Ive tried yamatos and SAE, they both dont eat Hair algae. Malayan shrimp are sometimes sold in LFS as blue shrimp. Clean up as much as you can manually, make sure you maintain your fertilisation and dump in Malayans. Cleaned my algae problem right up.

    Cheers

I agree with cleaning up as much as u can. I even removed a huge chunk of flame moss that is algae infected.

after that, change 30% water, and reduce photo period to 4 hours (total 2 slots, 8 hours a day)
