    Hi guys

Like to share my first experience with Apistogramma. Bought this pair from a fellow AQ member and they have been with me for a week now

I have 1001 questions in my head right now... and I know there are so much more to learn from experts here.

Let's take a look at my male shall we?

You guys find a MALE fish sexy?

Besides NLS 1mm sinking pellets (which I have bought for this fish) what else is good for improving colouration?

    Wonderful fish there.
Yup bbs would be a good addition besides NLS pellets. Or you can try decap bs too, which YiXiang (illumnae) recommends for its ease compared to bbs.
Foods to avoid feeding too often would be live tubifex, live daphnia and live bloodworms, which may cause internal bacteria problems. I personally avoid feeding these live food altogether. NLS alone might just be enough.

DEFINATELY NOT a sneaker male. A sneaker male is a male which disguises itself to look like a female so as to protect itself from a more dominant male. A sneaker male definately would not seek to look like the above male, with definate male colours and finnage.

Besides as sneaker male is still a male.

Not me. But its a very beautiful fish indeed.

I was just explaning why it can't be a sneaker male, no offence intended.

Nice Apistogramma elizabethae you have there. Wonder is it the flash issue as the true redness of a Apistogramma elizabethae "Super red" doesn't show on the picture.

Nice Male you have there still.

Welcome to the club of apisto lover.

Keep us update with more pictures.

    Cheers

I didn't use flash for the previous photos.

    Here's a pix with flash.

And I do agree that the "super red" is somehow not very red

I will give it all my TLC and hopefully the colouration will improve
