Which to choose for ADA? hehe![]()
Hi guys
Decided to fill up my Apisto Paludarium to increase the water volume.
Here's the old thread of my paludarium:
http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...862#post335862
A picture of the paludarium 5 mins before the filling up process begins
2 things I've learned about waterfall in the past few weeks:
1) Waterfall can be very noisy and distracting in a quiet room/office.
2) The water splashes will stain the dry portion of the tank glass making frequent glass cleaning a must.
I ordered a few pots of Anubias from an online retailer for another project actually... but decided to place all the Anubias into this tank as it suits the layout... the large green leaves will be able to cover those huge rock surface
Here's the new layout with tons of AnubiasThe use of Anubias is very suitable for this tank as it is totally low tech with low to medium light (11W + 9W PL)
I have the following Anubias in my tank:
Anubias barteri var 'nana'
Anubias barteri var nana 'Petite'
Anubias barteri var barteri 'Broad Leaf'
Anubias barteri var nana 'Yellow Heart'
Anubias barteri var nana 'Eyes'
Anubias afzelii
Planning to add these in the near future:
Anubias barteri var nana 'Gold'
Anubias barteri var 'coffeefolia'
Anubias barteri var 'angustifolia'

what a nice collection.
no plans for the foreground?
Maybe you could try to hide the roots of the anubias that is right at the bottom![]()

It looks like you have mastered growing your plants and now keeper of this apisto. Elizabethae. Can really enjoy this hobby with you by browsing thru your threads and pictures, I bet you have a lots of hobbyists reading your updates, keep us busy by following your threads. Thanks.
cannot read his thread too much...
everytime after reading, hands feel itchy and pocket got holes...
hahaha... seems like you have lots of distraction in the office
...so your Paludarium finally transformed to apisto enclave... when I saw you have the elizabethae in there...see this coming... it's only a matter of time either you remove the pair or fill the tank up.
Nice apisto set-up, perhaps some smaller leaves java ferns might be an improvement.
