Actually I am planning a tank (or a planter using glass tank) where I collect all the flora from places around me... that can be fun

I once had a little 'meadow' in my room during my school days when i was revising for my exams. It was a 2 ft tank and i filled it exactly half full of basically standard soil. Planted grass, buttercup and clover in it. After a summer it flourished into basically a mini meadow in my room. I fitted a tight fitting perspex lid fitted many holes in it with tiny mesh slats over it and added an army of ants to it. After a month or so they'd made it there home. I added food in it few days a week which they 'harvested' and when the grass grew to big i'd trim it before the ants had awoken early some mornings.. It was really quite fun and for a tank that size it was really easy maintenance. Was fun seeing all the ants tunnels between the network of roots under neath and watching there every day activities.

The idea of a tank with your local plants inside your home/work is a really unique thing to do, and done correctly and cared for can look unsually spectacular.
