What is the cause of Neon Tetra disease

Hi,

Anyone knows what causes Neon Tetra disease (dunno the name to the disease thot)?

The typical symptom is that, the fish would have white patches, loses it colour and then eventually die a few days later.

NTD is pleistophora hyphessobryconis, supposedly a protozoan disease which is entirely incurable
furan-3 states that it can cure neon tetra disease, but ime it only appears to work for a time, but the fish will eventually die off from it
in other words, once neons get it, you can pretty much write them off

there is also the False Neon Tetra Diease aka Chilodonella....they have similar signs white patch below dorsal fin....with the additional lock jaw and surface gasping......

FNTD kills the fish in question very quickly though

high dose of salt will kill chilodonella
think the med from mardel labs will also tackle it
