You will not be able to sex them accurately until they are about 8 months of age. One reason why apistos command a premium price for a small fish. The time and effort to raise them is alot.![]()

oh okay... 8 months and they are consider adult? was wondering should i move 1 piece to another tank? as i guess the bigger one is being domiant and thus, even the smaller one is also a male.. it might turn into a sneaker..
am i right to say that?
8 months to reach sexual maturity. Which means they are easier to sex by then. Within a brood, some may not reach adult hood yet. Sneakers usually happens when they reach sexual maturity.
