    1 pregnant yamato with many small ones. $15 worth of java moss looking like $30+

    Yamato babies will rarely, if not, none will survive as they require brackish water.

    i am aware of that. thats why i was surprised to find babies around after all the big ones disappeared into my moss jungle 3 months ago.

    2 feet tank.
    1 80mm computer fan running 24/7 @ 28°C average
    36W PL around 6pm - 10pm
    $15 worth of java moss untouched.now becoming $30+ lol
    dosing once every week. seachem Flourish 1 ml
    DIY CO2 24/7 change 1 bottle per week. total 2 bottles. mix by gut feel.
    5 bettas, countless GAEs and ottos, unknown number of feeder shrimps and yamato shrimps.
    cheap internal filter.

    tank has been left untouch since late march. only change CO2 mix and add evaporated water.

    the 5 bettas live happily ever after? cant put 2 of mine into a tank ;( they'll fight.

    they are quite happy. though sometimes they want to fight, they just open their fins then slowly cool down. but no fights so far. just chasing each other. my bettas have been together since young so they do not fight with each other.

    mine cool time 26-27.5, now 26.5-28
    pl 55w, 8am - 12pm, 7pm - 11pm
    dosing twice a week, seachem flourish 0.5 ml
    diy co2, change once every 10-14 days, average 1bp3s

    i got Java moss and String moss in the ratio 85:15
    the first $9 of the java moss is tied on Wire mesh. the rest just dump into the tank. the string moss is tied to a pebble.
    the tied up java moss is short and dense. the anyhow dump one is long and thin. the string moss spreads out far and wide but they are very thin.
