light placement... how high do you go?

Hi all, just want to find out what kinda light placement height practice is best? 5 inch 6 inch?

tank is 1.5' and my light is now at 9 inches from the water surface.

what is the vottage of the light and the tank measurements?

am running a 4'x1.5'x1.5' 2x150w 10k

so far everything fine except for one plant which i have no idea what kinda plant.

so thought i play around with the lighting... see what are people running to get some data.

My tank is 19 inch deep and my light is 6 inches above the water surface, thats only because mny new light set is quite high standing, my last lighting sat about 1 inch above water surface (it was waterproof).

Getting some T5 lights this weekend hopefully, not sure on wattage yet.
