    Hi

    As mention on the title anyone sign up the pro account? Is it good?
    Or any recommendation of good and free photo uploading website?

    there is the popular pbase (paid) which is quite receivable by the netcitizen. I personally use photobucket, but it has a limit on each account, so I have to register a new account once it is full. Recently, I port over my entire gallery and blog to http://photopians.org/ and wordpress respectively and I very happy with it. Photopians uses Gallery V2 and it is unlimited (for now), also comes with a remote software to ease uploading

    I paid for the flickr account.
    flickr is a very different concept from the standard photo hosting sites. It is actually more of a photo sharing community and I got to know many like minded friends from all over the world.

    Absolutely! Upgrade to a Pro Account for just US$24.95 a year (or R$45.90 if you’re in Brazil). Here's what you'll get with a Pro Account:

    * Unlimited photo uploads (20MB per photo)
    * Unlimited video uploads (90 seconds max)
    * Unlimited storage
    * Unlimited bandwidth
    * Unlimited photosets
    * Archiving of high-resolution original images
    * The ability to replace a photo
    * Post any of your photos or videos in up to 60 group pools
    * Ad-free browsing and sharing
    * View count and referrer statistics

    Compare that to what you get with a Free Account:

    * 100 MB monthly upload limit (10MB per photo)
    * 3 sets
    * Photostream views limited to the 200 most recent images
    * Post any of your photos in up to 10 group pools
    * Only smaller (resized) images accessible (though the originals are saved in case you upgrade later)
    You can join up to 60 groups but you would need to add the pictures one by one into individual groups (which is probably the only thing I hate, so far).

    Thanks for the information, Billy.. Ya flickr is a photo sharing community and also for world wide. Still deciding whether to get the pro account or get other photo uploading website like photobucket.

    forgotten to add, photopians is free but only upon approval. Minimum requirement is minimum 500 (need to check, can't remember the actual figure) photos within a certain time frame

    One main difference between paid and unpaid sites you should consider is the uploading and viewing speed. I had been using photobucket for a long time, but I find the speed a pain.

    I am using photobucket too, upload is not too much an issue for me now as my photos are not so big. My only issue with free photo hosting site is their advertisement, so I would consider a paid site in the near future

    Simon,
    the web link you give me cannot enter it say internet explorer cannot display page. Must be invited to access? Is it work the same as flickr?

    Thanks

    Billy,
    How much you pay for 1 year or 2 years?

    Thanks

    Isn't it cheaper if you pay for 2 years?

    Still got any other website that is free and can hold unlimited space?

    I subscribed for 1 year only to test if I like their system.

    Web space is one thing, max size of each picture to be uploaded is another
    I can upload pictures of up to 20M each. I think they added a video uploading function recently too...

    Photobucket downsize your picture by quite a lot IIRC.

    photobucket maximum size is 200kb, flickr doesn't give the impression of seriousness in their layout and audience unlike pbase. If I want to share a large file there are many free upload/sharing sites around.

    That's pretty true. I was just wondering how to configure my home page to show "sets only" then to realized there isn't such an option. Going through the flickr's request page, I found out that many users have made the same request as me.

    I am on flickr too. I signed for a flickr pro account last year. I would definitely be continuing my subscription.

    Like what Billy have said, the sharing with groups is really a nice feature.

    My lastest flickr pic..

    But would you use your flickr account to say, show your photography portfolio to your clients? I have to agree that flickr is targeted at group interaction

    Depends. I could..I could share a set with them and invite them to see the set. For group interactions, flickr wins...that I would have to agree.
