Connectors for CO2 cylinder?

Hi All,
Need some help here.

Just got myself a co2 cylinder from 1 of the bros in the forum but found it rather hard to read as the gauges are facing upwards. Will like to check if any1 knows if i can get an adapter or a "L" connector to fit between the co2 cylinder and the solenoid so that the gauges and bubble counter will face upright.

The setup i got is very similar to this

difficulty in reading? how come, you just look down at the gauges. The pressure dont flatuate too much to become noticable unless you have a leak.

i think reading the gauge is still ok but not the bubble counter. i believe this type of bubble counter need to sit upright to wotk probably.

agree the buble counter should sit up right. This is easy to do, just turn the whole solenoid assembly by 90 degree. Just make sure to use soap bubble after you turn it, make sure no leak.

the setup was situated under a shelf (that's the only place i can put on my office desk), so thought that it will be easier if the gauges are upright so i dun need to tilt the cylinder to check on the readings (abit lazy to tilt) :P

tried to loosen the nut to turn the bubble counter with a wrench but was not successful so thought of having the whole solenoid upright instead by getting a adapter or something that would do the trick.

am very new to this, hope bros/sis-s would share your knowledge.

are you refering to the cylinder you bought from me? maybe you can take a pic and from there we can work something out? Im never face problem with the orientation on the gauges when i deployed that cylinder though.

so anyone know if there is a way to change the orientation of the solenoid?

change the head with the normal one instead of small knob but I think the tank need to be empty before you do that. Not sure if normal head can fit it though

I usualy go to NA, the one in front of thomson medical center but other LFS might able to do it also.

Maybe you can try taking out the whole guage and then apply another layer of the white-stikcing tap (not sure about the actual nema). This will probably cause a change in orientation of th guage.

tilt it(the guage) to an angle.. I tilt to 45degrees..

My advise is to replace the valave of the cylinder with at 90 deg one where the valve wheel is at the top. All the 3/8 NPT joint have been Loctite and are almost impossible to undo without damage.

where can the valve be replace? does the aquarium at clementi provide this service?

I not sure if C328 or Polyart does the valve replacement. But NA confirm does it.
