not rocket science really to predict the germany vs portugal match. Soccer is a game that involves individual technique, tactics, team bonding, discipline, luck (greece anyone?), acting (ala italians), but most of all, the mentality to win is very very important. Germany has that aggressive look. Portugal didn't look like winners the moment they stepped onto that field last night.

Tonight is gonna be straight forward though. Croatia will beat the crap out of Turkey. Not that Turkey doesn't want to win, but they will be tired and missing several key players tonight.

Now i can't wait for Eduardo to recover and rejoin this already teeming with talent Croatian squad.

I don't really fancy the portugese to beat the germans. Because at this point in time, i think the portugese don't have the right mentality (especially ronaldo with lots of $$$ on his mind and phil scholari already counting the $$$). Hence i'm going out on a limb here and back the germans to beat the crap out of portugal.

Croatia is too strong even for the never-say-die turkey and will possibly beat the crap out of turkey.

Holland will beat the crap out of russia and teach the English (and the swedes) how to play football.

Italy vs Spain is a tough one. Although Spain is one of the teams i backed before the tournament started, i don't think Spain has enough experience to beat the Italians. Plus, Italy has the luck. They will dive like nobody's business and win penalties and look totally shameless and win the game. Nobody is gonna beat the crap out of anybody though. It's gonna be a close one for this game.

My prediction:

Germany vs Croatia (Grudge match for the 2-1 loss)

Netherlands vs Italy (also another grudge match for the 3-0 loss)

Then the germans will kill off croatia with one ballack goal and the dutch will beat the crap out of the italians (again).

Then the dutch will beat the crap out of the germans and win this year's Euro 2008.

Comback kings Turkey spoilt the show by beating Croatia to reach the semi-final. What a comeback by Turkey at the death!!

With this... I am almost sure Germany will reach the Euro 08 final unless Turkey does another magic to beat Germany.

Turkey resilience and incredible luck finished off Croatia last night.

Olic proved to be either a poor finisher or extremely unlucky football player last night missing several point blank chances. I think Croatia truly missed Eduardo last night.

And most fitting of all, Turkey hit the equaliser in injury time during extra time!

The Dutch were atrocious! They thought that the Russians were there for the taking! Just ask any Singaporean. You know. Cos Singapore herself got trashed by Russia more inferior neighbour, Uzbekistan!

I think Spain could just win it. All that attacking talent vs the defensive frailities of Germany exposed by the Turkish. I think Capdevilla and Ramos will go all the way up the flanks and destroy the Germans.
