Cichlids Forever (CF) is Closing Down!!

I got bad news as the title suggest.
Got the news from a thread in AF started yesterday.
Another one down...

Its probably the increase in rent and costs of operating a business these days

Maybe the LFSs should do alternative business (Open fish spa, sell 4D (together with 4 D luohan and aros)) :P

What are the details, when is the last day or closed down liao?

Yes, it's so sad that the only specialized Tanganyikan Cichild shop is closing down.
Heard that they were looking for an alternative location a few months ago, suddenly they both got full time jobs and are closing down.

Hi ah zhan, are you sure today is their last day? Shouldn't be end of this month then close? I can't seems to find their location on map. Any clue where is the nearest mrt or any school beside it? I hope to go down there today if possible before they close one first time and last time.

Nearest MRT station is Kovan. Opposite SRJC.

Nice one Ong! Perfect example why abbreviations are not allowed here. But no idea why they suddenly appeared here and not immediately policed by the mods who are typically very very very efficient in this aspect.

Anyway. Back to the topic of this thread. I am very sad that Cichlids Forever is closing down. Pretty much the only place you can really rely on for tanganyikan cichlids.

Its just across a Mobil petrol kiosk which is at Lim Ah Pin Road. Somehow, I don't think I will miss this shop. Did not have any pleasant experience there at all.

Shortforms are tolerated.
For example...

GSA - green spot algae
AQ - aquaticquotient
IMHO - in my humble opinion
shortforms for LFS and local forums - i.e. C328, AQ, AF etcetera...

sms lingo like u and mi... Not condoned.
The Mods are not "God omnipotent" and know before or when you use sms lingo!
But when we do come across them we correct and try to tell members to refrain from doing so.
Can you imagine if you were a foreign language native and did a google to try to participate in the forum discussion?...

We would like the information base AQ provide to "be there" for all forum members (international included).
This provides a very good base for exchange of knowledge from people worldwide.
Much better than having blinds around our eyes on the local scene only.

I've spoke to Norven and CF will still be open until everything is cleared. There are still quite a number of livestocks remaining.

Channa sp "Green Fin"
Channa Diplogramme
Channa sp "Five Stripes"
Protoperus dolloi (slender lungfish)

I only bought the lonely piece of Channa sp "New Prince".

For cichlids and other livestocks, I didn't really take note. Do pardon me on that.

I tried calling just now around 8pm but they didn't answer, i still though they close already. So you mean they will open till everythings is cleared but not close this month yet is it?

Has the Channa sp "New Prince" settle down yet?The place was really crowded, don't have much chance to talk to both Jon and Norven.

Sad right? Only until closing down then you get to see the crowd. The people who could have helped the shop remained profitable and alive.
