    As above.
Symptoms: Cloudy eyes, discoloured scales. Seems to be isolated to tetras. Does not seem to be fatal.

Anyone knows what is it? I am suspecting it is a fungal disease.

CK, do they look like discoloured patches?

I hope it's not the neon tetra disease (NTD). Some of the symptoms associated are lost of coloration, and secondary infections like fin rot and bloating. NTD can affect the fish really slowly.

I remember mine first started off having discoloured patches, before gradually escalating to multiple symptoms (e.g. bloat, S-spine, fin rot) for about 4 weeks or more before succumbing to death.

Probably you need a longer observation period to make better educated guesses. However, as there is no known cure for NTD, you may want to isolate the fish first just in case.

Regarding the discoloured patches of scales, look at the zoomed in crop on the upper lefthand corner. Noticed the iridescence of the scale is lost?

So are you saying that this could be a secondary infection?

Sorry, I didn't provide clearer information. The discoloured patches are symptoms of NTD, not secondary infection. Fin rot and fungus are secondary infections.

See Wikipedia, Neon tetra, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neon_tetra (as of May. 31, 2008, 13:27 GMT).
    1. Fish begins to lose coloration.
    2. As cysts develop, the body may become lumpy.
    3. Fish has difficulty swimming.
    4. In advanced cases the spine may become curved.
    5. Secondary infections such as fin rot and bloating.
