    Hi all,

I just bought a 1/3hp arctica chiller by 18 May 08. I started power it 7/24 after one day later. Performance is satisfactory when it kicks in and kick off as no audible sound is heard.

After two weeks, i found the sound is getting louder when the chiller blower is running. I can vividly hear the sound.

Do the chiller still in a good and normal condition? As assumption, I should not heard any sound when the chiller is working right especially for arctica brand.

Those owners of this brand, would you mind to share the condition of the chiller?

    Thanks a lots.
    Regards,

    Hi there

I have been using the same model for 1+ years... no sound and I am satisfied with it. Perhaps you wanna bring it back to get it checked (or something).

Can anybody care to explain what he meant by "no sound"? Does it mean totally no sound, even when the blower in running?

Is "no noise" possible? Brother BETTA03, can you let us know after fan has been replaced, do you hear no noise even at night? If so, I would like to get mine fan replaced too.

With a new chiller fan the noise is greatly reduce, with mine chiller in a cabinet the noise is only slightly audible at night. A great improvement.

Used a soundmeter to measure the level of noise on 4 month old Arctica 1/10 is 68dBA as for 1 year old Resun CL450 is 75dBA. Not much different.
