Sorry to hijack your thread. On the contrary to yours, my new CRS are swimming around when the lights are on.
Just wish to know what type of behaviour we should see when new CRS are introduced.
I have new CRS, noticed that my CRS don't move much, their colors are OK, so they are not stressed right? They also don't feed much, I just put one Shirakura pellet and only 1 or 2 will take a nibble. Most of the time they hang out near the plants which is tied to a wood drift.
Any reason for their inactiveness and lack of appetite. They are already in the tank for 10 days or so.

maybe they are still trying to get used to the new environment? Did you find out from the seller what's his water parameters and determine how different was it from your tank parameters? Parameters such as ph etc are important.
Is yours a new tank? Or old tank with existing crs in it? If so, how are the existing ones?
Feeding part is secondary, as after getting used to the new environment they should start eating...![]()
Hi Spid,
I have about 8 of them. What is the "correct" behaviour of the shrimps.
If their color is alright and are seen to be constantly picking up food with their "legs", they are normal and active.
Happy shrimping.

Thanks for all your replies. Since I gone on this forum, I've been looking at pictures of nice shrimps. Drolling....
So got rid of the 8 "B" & "C" grades, and spent a little bit more and got about 10 A ones. They are doing great. Feeding and crawling happily.![]()
