I was reading through APD, and saw a link posted to madans webby... in it there were some interesting fish called denison's flying fox. here are some pics... (hope this comes out right)

Anyway, was wondering if anyone has spotted this fish locally? I for one have never seen it, and think it would be great if we could get more colorful algae eaters in our aquarium... I suspect though that this fish has not been brought in.

The link posted in the APD was not to my web site I am still working on it and it is not up. The link takes you to an article about me by Howard Norfolk from Vancouver, Canada who visited me in January this year.
The link in the post on this forum is not to my website or the article.

I have had the P. Denisonii for a year now. They are beautiful schooling barbs. They get after hair algae, and are voracious feeders. Well fed P.denisonii locally known as "Red Line Torpedo Fish " will not care much for algae. They do get after plants like Rotaola wallichii, Ergeria densa and Christmas moss in my tank, Karen Randall has not experienced this problem with her specimens.
They are tolerant of water quality and hardy.
All are wild caught from rivers in South India. The season is now October - December after which they are very hard to come by for the rest of the year.

    hi Allen,

seen yr posting on this, n i think i saw this fish in Pet Safari yesterday.
it was in the tank on the right side, just beside their Super Big landscape tank. there's a few inside tat looks like the pic u just post, but i think the tail tip is also red in colour. dunno if it's the one u r looking for, but if u r near by, u could drop by n take a look..=)
    $6 per fish i think...

I think the ones in PS is the pencilfish.
