From my experience,
Cool temperature is preferable - around 27 degrees Celsius or lower is preferable.
High light is also required - 2.6-3.0 watt per gallon.
It needs a nutritious substrate(soil or base fertilizer), but be careful not to let the whole stem into the substrate if you are using soil - it will cause it to melt as the soil is acidic.
Some fertilizers have been known to cause it to melt - Some formers can elaborate on that.
It also does not appreciate premature pruning - it will actually kill the plant
Will add on if i think of anything else, other than that, have a fun and enjoyable time! Do share with us your experience and pictures!
cheers,
