Hi guys,

Thank you. Your tanks and fishes are very inspiring. So I've been trying my own.

My first pair was from a nice fish shop in AMK (forgot the name) but they've died leaving 4 spawns. (females i think)

Here is a pair from C328. The male was quite young when I bought them 1 week ago but I think he's growning nicely.



Oh one thing, I've learnt yesterday. Dont put any prawns/yamatos.etc. into the tank. They will eat them!

illumnae, funny you should say that because it was hidden in a corner and the ones on the counter were huge full sized ones twice his size. this one is quite young.

I've got 4 other female younglings in the 1.5 ft tank. Should i keep them or pass to other members? I believe in selling them though because I dont want new owners to take them for granted.

The 1.5 ft tank seems to be overcrowded now esp since the female gave birth. I see the babies on the floor and they are very small but not swimming around. Is this normal?

I also observed something about the female. When she wants to attract the male, she will get super yellow and has a black stripe across the body and lower fin(?).

When she has laid the eggs, she remains yellow but has a black dot in the middle.
