Yes!! It is. You can spot them even far behind!!! There are a few plants from your recommendation!!! Thanks again!!

As I am newbie in planted, need all bros here to advise what plants is suitable. If not, I have to try out with many different types of plants which I am currrently still doing that. Which waste time & money.

The Gayi are going a bit slow.

The Pogostemon Gayi will take a while to acclimatise. From what i know of it myself it isnt exactly a speedy grower anyway. Given time it'll fill out and will look amazing. In the right conditions it grows tall and when the current passes through it ripples.

    I love it!

Hi, is the pump at 5000L/H flowrate too strong or weak or just nice for the size of your tank? thanks

I was searching for the flow rate of this At-107 pump, some stated 3500l/hr & some stated 5000l/hr.

Let's say this pump is 5000l/hr, minus all bends and possible pressure loss when pumping water up & back to the main tank. Let say now it is 4000l/hr after calulating the losses. I consider it good enough as it will circulate the tank for 4.5 time in an hour.

I can further reduce the flow rate to minimise CO2 loss if I wish to.

Currently, base on my feeling, the flow rate currently is good for my set up.

    Just my 2 cents.

Happy to see that the plants are getting healtier, can see new leave growing.

The water also getting very crystal clear lately, just that the thick green glass make it greenish.

Get UV, on for 2days and you will see the difference in the water, after that on 2-3hrs/day only.

Was busy dealing with algae & some kind of slime cotton like thingy. 2nd batch of Crypt almost all melted as was trying to reduce the pH level to 7 instead of 7.4. So, mainly the up & down pH level causes the crypt melt.

Also faced bacteria boom the other day.....

Will try to change those plants that affect by algae etc.. tomorow. Had tied new moss onto the DW & the wall behind just now. Added some DW too, water still slightly cloudy...

Still find something is not right, does the left hand back ground plants suitable?? Seem like doesn't match this setup, was thinking to change to Gayi.

Comments are most welcome to help me to improve the scape.

    Regards,
    Ct

    Right hand corner:

Had replaced the Longitfolia with fern on the right, and Gayi to fill up the back space later on as backdrop.

Took from left angle: Add in more narrow leaf.

Your tank is high but you are not using it to its fullest... do you plan to let the Ferns grow all the way to the water surface?

Yes, I hope the fern can grow to the water surface. But it will take quite a while. Also hope the Gayi on the right hand side will cover up as back drop, also growing quite slow.

Anyway, this is a low tech tank. So, will try to be patient.

Or you have an idea to it?

    Thanks in advance.

The Gayi will take time to fill out. But it'll be magnificent once it reaches a bigger size. Especially with a decent flow through it making it ripple beautifully.
