do you have a budget?
Hi ALL
Am new to this forum & have been poisoned deep deep by Apistos & SA dwarf cichlid recently.
Can you advice me where can I get good quality Apistos & it is worthwhile to get the wild caught because I have heard some of those that are sold as wild in our LFS may not be wild afterall.
If so, how can I tell whether it is a wild fish?
Thanks

do you have a budget?
c328 has had good quality apistos at reasonable prices lately.
seaview has apistos really cheap, but in my opinion the quality is not so good...only once in awhile you see a really good piece at a low price there

or our very own marketplace here in aq is worth waiting..
sometimes there might be a good buy pop out in the marketplace.. if not c328 is a good choice too.
I would highly recommend you to pay a visit to Biotope at Ang Mo Kio.
As for C328, the livestock list is not consistent so you may end up in wasted trips.
For the past few months, every time i visited c328 there has always been at least 1 pair of apistos worth buying, especially at the price that c328 charges. i don't think i can say that for any other LFS carrying apistos that i've visited
Seaview has some very attractively priced young apisto for sales
Go take a look at c328. As for Seaview are mostly very young pairs, i think they raised the prices recently though.

Planted tank: Melanotaenia Lacustris, Melanotaenia Parkinsoni, Melanotaenia Praecox, Glossolepis Incisus, Melanotaenia Maccullochi, Melanotaenia Boesemani, Iriatherina Werneri, Barilius Canarensis
bottom line is, you are still never assured of a wild pair unless you get down on your knees, sleeve rolled up to the elbow, and start netting by the rivers of the Amazon yah?
If it's meant to be, it will be. If not, so be it!

heard that Biotope has a new batch of arriving soon so will wait & see...but bought a pair of A Viejita II from seaview (think so as but it was labelled as macmasteri super red)
doing very well the pair, seems like there may be some action going go cos the couple is hiding in the ceramic cave that i bought for them
