Is there any different if I top up at Bioplast or send in for top up?? As some claimed it is heavier as it is in liquid form if send in to factory top up. Normal outside top up from big cyclinder cannot fully fill up our Co2 tank.

    Please advise.

Immediate top up to my knowledge will fill a lesser capacity to one filled at the factory, namely because in layman terms the co2 gas->liquid is allowed to cooled, top up , cooled, top up and repeat.

However, there are instances where its been send to the factory, that person fill up the tanks with the same immediate method of top up thus resulting in .. no difference.

See convenience as well. Bearing what Torque6 mentioned, you can also factor the waiting time. Are you collecting on the spot, or making another trip in 2-3 days to the shop. taxi fares or fuel cost not cheap these days.

    Cheers, Christophe

My experience is that immediate top up does not last as long as those I send to factory. But I still use immediate top up in time where my spare CO2 Tank is empty.

    Hi,
i'm not too sure about how much more or less, but i suppose that both services seek to top up Co2 (for my 2 litre tank) to 1000 PSI ? and a little time after my Bioplast top-up, i often see the gauge point a little more than 1000 in my case.

    Cheers!

pressure gauge showing 1000+ psi has not bearing whether the cylinder is filled. this pressure reading is valid as long as there is liquid co2 in the cylinder. when the last drop od liquid co2 has boiled off, the pressure will start to fall.

the proper measurement is weight. only by weighing, we will know whether the cylinder if filled.

Just sent my CO2 cyclinder to National Gas in Jurong. Took only 15 mins to top up.

They will check your tank safety valve pressure, fill, stop & fill again till within the limit spec.

The guy told me that for 5L tank, they will top up only 3kg of CO2 and not more due to safety aspec. Is like 2/3 of your tank size.

The tank is place on the floor built-in weighting machine while toping up.

Not worth if you are not staying nearby.
