    Hi Guys,
after converting one of my non-Co2 tank into pressurized Co2 system, i realised that my spiky moss grew, but very thin and small green fronds. Any ideas what are the causes of the small frond growth?

    Appreciate your help! Thanks.

    My set-up:

    2x1x1 ft tank
    36 w PL (8650k) , 8-10 hrs daily
    Co2 (1 BPS)
    WC- once a week, 30%

    Ferts Dosage - during WC
    1)Lushgro Macro
    2)Flourish Trace
    3)Flourish Phosphorus
    4)Flourish Iron

    Cheers!

Any SAEs or Yamatos? They might be eating the moss faster than the latter is growing.

    Cheers, Christophe

    Hi annon47,
i suppose i have some duckweed and frogbits floating around, but my internal filter current pushes them around so, can be said shady at times, but not always.

    Thanks!

    Hi Christophe,
interesting suggestion here, but unfortunately they do not inhabit this tank.

    Thanks!

I have actually discovered that it is more likely the case of lack of NPK nutrients that causes the small growth of new moss fronds.

Thanks to all who have tried to help.

Temperature rise can also be attributed. Last month, my fans struggled to cope and some of the tanks had 28.5C temp, the moss didn't do so well. You are also right about NPK. Lack of NPK paralyzes growth.
