Kenneth, why would you suggest gardener to spend money on a high tech setup in terms of equipment to grow a low tech plant like moss? Was it necessary?

    gardener,

This is my old setup with just diy co2 and 9cm fan. Moss dont general grow fast and is classified by tropica with moderate growth, however with co2 it grows greener and more lush as with all plants with pressurised canisters.

Yup! Moss is one of the simpliest of plants. It mainly require cool water which blue33 has already suggested a fan. Strong lighting and CO2 does help but its a 'nice to have' for this particular plant, not a 'must have'.

Over your 2*1.5*1.5, a fan will do the job.

If moss is newly introduced, give it about 2 weeks or so to start growing much faster.

Mind hair algae! Yamatos or malayans are not advisable to be put in a congo tetra tank, so maybe an SAE can be a useful addition. Only add it after your growth pick up, otherwise, your moss might be eaten away.

    Cheers, Christophe

No need to dip ice bottle as unstable temperature may not be too good for your plants.

Agree with Torque6 said. Is just like suddenly winter suddenly summer. The location that your tank locate is important also, get a good air flow location. Ideal temperature is between 25-28, though 30 is ok, just slow grow. If you got problem with the moss then go for Singapore moss instead, our local moss that can grow at our temperature here and is free, almost everywhere has it. Your fan should be doing a good job by lowering down 2-3 degree, good air flow helps alot.
