Very nice tank you have there... Whats those plants at the back ground on the left? Are those ADA driftwood you have?

I see... Been tempting to get those old blackwood and put into my 4.5ft tank but think its too late cause I already have 2 big rocks in it and don't think it will match.

Is your tank on CO2? Very nice growth.

Em, i think if you really like these kind of woods(They sink and don't leech tanins) Its ok to buy first, use later i think.

Yes i am using pressuried Co2 through diffuser.

Why not use reactor? I using diffuser too but I have bought ISTA reactor and not sure if I want to use it or not cause lazy to install it

Was told using diffuser will waste much more CO2. Not sure if thats true cause I noob.

Very nice tank!!! I love the overall effect you manage to achieve... it's full with plants yet it's not cluttered. Well done!

Hi bro, you have a very nice tank, created a scene of an island in the tropical style. Can share with us the length of light's time during photo period, intensity and spectrum of lights? And do you use any fertilization for the growth of plants, in two weeks you started to trim the plants? Thanks and a good work sharing with us, also the clear shot of the picture.

Very clean and dynamic looking tank. The curves of the wood goes very well with the grass blades of the foreground and background plants. Well thought out composition. Credits to tcy81.

In my opinion would it be good if you arrange the first piece of wood to be more verticle instead of stretching it across the scape? Right now i feel it cuts into the scape and it distracts the eye from the rest. What do you think?

That is a fabulous tank! Although the sharp edges and angle placement of woods may give a tensed up impression, somehow when i look at the helferi, background plants and still water surface, I feel calm.. Balance!

Did you intend a path 1/3 from the left initially? There is clue in it from the front fallen wood. What sand is that? Very nice and smooth.

Actually i think its more of preference, some might say reactor is better, while other say diffuser is better. For me i like to see the Co2 mist coming out of the diffuser and reactor is too bulky to place inside my tank.

Right now my lighting period is 10 hours per day. Using philips 6500k 2x36W PL. Yes i am using ADA Brighty K, Lights, green bacter and green gain for liquid dose. For Base fertilizer, ADA Amazonia 2, powersand, bacter 100, superclear, tourmaline BC. ( Its previously used for my last scaping also, so i only topup Amazonia 2 powder and add 1 x iron bottom & 1 x multi bottom)

Ya verticle might be nicer, what i wanted to achieve was a root effect, inside out. But since the bottom end of the wood is thick, alot of planting space is wasted if i go from the background of the right side(thick part of the wood) to foreground of the left side(branchy part of the wood) My tank Width is only around 1ft. If longer i might do that.
Ya its quite distracting, i hoping the E.tenellus will grow and soften the look of the thick wood part.

Ya actually the rock placement was intended for 1/3 from left, then the driftwood cutting across seems make it 1/3 from the right? like cancelling each other out ?
Actually i dont have a tripod and cable release. if not i will do the hairdryer effect.
    I used GEX sand.

If you still intend to have the path, take out the fallen wood and use it as one of the standing woods. Pull out the e-tenullus around the tip of the fallen wood for the 'opening'. And see how it looks.

Your picture is very clear and still. You shot with a fast shutter and small aperture?

How did you trim your Cyperus Helferi?
I trimmed mine by giving it a haircut and after a month, it is still browning

You mean the small fallen wood in the middle ?
I shot at 1/80sec shutter speed and F6.3 aperture.

I didn't trim my Cyperus Helferi in terms of cutting off the whole plant, just cut off those that are brown.

Very Clean, but i find the small rocks in the front too evenly placed, quite un-natural, try leveling out the gravel in the front. Any new updates ?
    ...I love rubies too ...
