I love the Downoi, it seems to be doing very well

I paid £3.50 ($9.50?) each pot Which is quite cheap in uk, I have seen it offered for sale at £7.50 ($20?) also.

If i remeber rightly I used about 4 pots

    Im guessing this is expensive?

I've never seen Downoi being sold in the UK. I also love this plant, unfortunately as i said, i havnt been able to find it on sale in the places i have been within the UK. That mainly being most local shops in Coventry and some nearer Birmingham.

I'm yet to venture down as far as London for shops. I hear there are some mega aquatic shops down there

It's considered cheap... I was told it costs a lot more in Australia (Perth to be more specific )

Verminator do you not have a maidenhead aquatic store near you? they can get you Downoi (cheap).

My Local MA is great for plants and planted aquarium products.

Maidenhead - never heard of them haha. There may be one. Brum is quite a big place there aught to be one near there.

I use Shirley Aquatics which is in Shirley on the outskirts of Birmingham. And also a place called A5 Aquatics near somewhere Shirley is a big store, been running for over 30 odd years.

All the places i've been too i've asked them to get me certain plants, or atleast get them in stock. But they all seem to have the most outragous rules regarding customer orders. They tell me that if i want a plant, we'll say Downoi for example, i will have to have 5 pots of it. Thing is what if i want 1 pot i ask, they tell me i can only have it if i buy 5. I suppose they're just making sure they get them sold thus reducing plants that go unsold and go to waste. Its ludicrous.

Too sum it up, i shall go in search of a maidenhead aquatics, or atleast the nearest one to me Thanks for the heads up.

    Tanks doing ok.

It was photographed recently for 'Tropical fish' magazine (uk) by Iggy Tavares (TF,TFH,Marine world etc) so Hopefully there will be a 2 page article about me and the tank in the August edition.

The Fissidens is looking superb, Im really pleased with it .. What a gorgeous plant!

On the down side Im loosing some lower leaves on the stem plants esp. Limnpohilia Aromatica. Oh and the Riccia has recntly floated to the surface but I guess that was always going to happen.
