I'm looking for 1 empty small CO2 canister about the size of mineral water bottle(Or not larger than 1.25L soft drink bottle). Anyone have & willing to part? Leaking is ok!

you can diy one by drilling a hole on the cap and pulling a tube through the hole. use glue to seal the joint.

Tawauboy, I'm refering to those steel or aluminium canister, not DIY mineral bottle type.
Allen, setting up a planted tank in office, no budget, knew of a co2 source, can refill myself. Something a bit illegal & dangerous[] [] . As of refilling, have anyone seen the process? Connecting the source output to tank's output? Pressure wise?

oh i see. mislead by the 'leaking' part.

co2 liquid/gaseous transition pressure is ard 900+ psi. some refilled tanks can go above 1000psi, very high pressure. btw, it is not safe to use a leaking tank.

as for self refilling, hope you know what you are doing. if the hose gets disconnected while refilling, the hose will whip all over the place and you could be injured in the process.

    Dear Turaco,

I strongly advice against trying this out. Refilling high pressured tank can be dangerous. If the source pressure is not strong then you will not be able to get much gas into the container. Also refilling is very cheap especially if you are talking about a 1 liter type tank. If I am not mistaken you can purchase a small canister (1 liter) for about $100 and refill will not cost more than $29.

    Good luck.
