    Found this recently. Their behavior is more loach than tetra. I am guessing it is Characidium fasciatum. Any clues?

    Yup..that should be correct.. i had a few pcs that i got from Japan..
    Not exactly my favourite Characidium species..but fun enough...

    They are fun alright, really busy fishes, 9 of them in my community tank now.

    You dished out a rare find among the tank! It sure looks different in terms of appearance to the first picture.

    Nope Different fish..

    Its still a characidium...but i dont think its a fasciatum.
    I also have one that looks a little like this... they just named it Characidium sp. pantanal.

    You still want this fish? if not i want..hahaha..
