Found this outside my office in broad daylight.

Maybe the sunlight did him in.

Looks like a fruit bat to me: http://www.fieldmuseum.org/congo/phomam_eanurus.html

Vampire bat usually has a different kind of snout, like this: http://www.conservationcentre.org/scase7.html

looks like the normal fruit bat to me too
i once burst one into pieces when i was in NS during range
think there was a small colony living inside the chamber

hit it in mid air (totally accidental of course, im not so marksman la) and witnessed it bursting apart in broad daylight

Wow, what are the chance of that occuring? The bat must be quite unlucky to catch a bullet in mid air.
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.
Don't walk behind me as I might not lead, don't walk in front of me as I might not follow. Walk beside me, as my friend.

minute as the chances of that may be, it still seems higher than my chances of striking toto

STRIKE FLYING BAT IN MID AIR - 1
    STRIKE TOTO GROUP 1 PRIZE - 0

it was during my final rnage just before ord
i suppose when we started firing the noises shook the bat up and it must have come flying out of wherever it was sleeping at
unfortunately for it, it took a bullet dead centre

i didn't even see it, thus was surprised to suddenly see something burst apart some distance straight ahead in like half a moment after i squeezed the trigger

hmmm, now that i think about it, i PRESUME i was the one who hit it, unless it was some other bobo shooter who managed to shoot totally way off into my lane and hit it instead.
