Hi,
I just checked my CO2 tank and I realize that even I close the big knob (Red circle), CO2 still goes through.. and the pressure busted my solenoid.. Now I can only control the CO2 by the solenoid knob. The reading from the two check valves is 90 & 50... What should I do...?

It is a 2nd hand set. If I want to throw it away, how should I do? Ofcourse I cant just simply put it into the dusk bin.

I belive fixing it is cheaper than buy new one, go to NA and ask them to fix for you. It is just the valve that spoil and can be replace easily of course after you empty the tank.
If you really-really do not want it, you can pass it to me![]()

Mate, Why not get it fix at Bioplast, look for Mr Tan (side parking gentlemen).
They're the specialist when it comes to these kind of stuff. You can also top-up straight after the repair and test whether is it still faulty. Give him a call, ask for advice and cost of repair.

thx for your advise, I'll try use up all CO2 with full blastand replace a new neddle valve.
isn't this an NA co2 tank? if it is, it has a lifetime warranty and you can simply do a 1 to 1 exchange as part of the top up process.

Bring to NA, ask for a top up tank.. They will give you a filled one. Then tell them this one got issues. Mr Chan will send to the factory right!

get someone (lfs) to fix your cylinder main valve.
next, get a proper pressure regulator. only with one of these, the output pressure is regulated to a safe level. any accessories connected after the pressure regulator will be safe.

Hi,
NA not only fix for you by replacment, Mr. Chan also allow upgrade to 3.5, or 5kg
Thanks.

upgrade? will he do downgrade![]()

Just priced up these CO2 with Solenoid sets - Why so expensive? Has anyone priced these sets in China, cos looking at the plugs they must have been made there!

illumnae pointed out that this is similiar to the co2 set with life time warrenty on it. If possible just get a 1 to 1 exchange. Just make sure your solenoid is in working order since you mentioned it was "busted".

I has just hooked up my CO2 for the first time ever and nothing happens. The dials dont move either. I could not turn the knob very far, only like 30 degrees. Do i need to open a screw thing under the solenoid or do something special???
Also the solenoid black box is hot!
I have a bubble counter and a back flow this attached to the hose..........help!

I assume your CO2 tank and solenoid is new? As you're sure the tank is full and the solenoid works. Then, is the one and only valve of the CO2 tank on in the 1st place?
To adjust, just turn the knots. Please don't unscrew anything as you control it by the knots. There isn't any on/off 'screw' or switch for the solenoid. Thus a solenoid is married to a timer.

remove the regulator from your cylinder. turn on and off the main valve quickly. be prepared for a loud swoosh if there is co2 in your cylinder. this will confirm whether there is co2.
remount the regulator. turn on the main valve again. you should see the needles in your gauges move to indicate pressure.
next power up the solenoid. you should see bubbling in your bubble counter. adjust the knob on needle valve to control the co2 flowrate.
and the solenoid will be hot when it is operating.

I removed the reg from the bottle. Turned the valve but nothing. Im wondering if There is a safety catch because when i bought it and carred it home I could have easily turned the top valve be mistake, but all i can see is a brass coloured nut opposite the outlet.

what is the weight, construction (aluminium or steel) and the capacity of your cylinder?
chances are that your cylinder is empty.

Ok - the answer is a bit silly, I half expected it to be so when I took the bottle back to the shop.
I did not turn the opening valve enough - i stopped when i met the slightest resistance but i should have continued and applied more pressure. I suppose i was scared of the big bottle of gas so thats why.
Anyway - you LIVE and LEARN. which is good!
I also encountered similar thing!! I just bought a CO2 tank and the gas don't come out at first because I never turn it far enough...after reading the experience of Syburn I turned it further and sure enough I hear the loud hiss of CO2. Then I closed it and secured it properly and switch on my solenoid...turned on the gas and can see the pressure up....but no bubble or gas comes out!!
The solenoid is pretty hot at the back and I don't know where is the knob to turn to increase the flow rate...any bros got photo of the knob to turn?
Thanks!
