The foreground is planted with Glosso though it can't really be seen.

and then 20 hrs later... just before a water change:

Now keeping my fingers crossed and waiting for it to grow grow grow! [] Any comments are welcome.

The net around the bottom of the wood seems to be an eye sore...maybe you should use brown nylon strings to blend in better...just a suggestion. Nice start! Keep it up and good luck! []

What's in the net? Riccia? Due to the vertical position & being blocked by the wood itself, I doubt it will grow to what you desire(riccia covering wood). But if it's moss, it's possible.. Just my thoughts.

Yup, its Riccia. I was just trying it out to see how it grows. []

Errr you do realize that the riccia is NOT going to start climbing up your wood right? At least I hope thats not what you planned.

I am insulted!! Heheh... just kidding. Allen, yeah I know. Basically I was hoping to create a "old dead tree with grass around it" look. So hopefully, I will have a pillar of moss with a little wood near the surface.

Its been 24 hrs after I moved my fish and shrimps in. Am pleased to report ZERO casualties.[]

I also went to Teo's today... spent a good 20 mins along LCK Lane 6C looking for them. I found them because I happened to see a wheelie bin with "15" spray painted on it. Aparently, their address has been changed to 50, LCK Lane 6C. So anyone headed that way for the first time, look out for number 50 and don't be fooled by the LH and Discus seller's posters and signs.

I got a moss ball, some hair grass, some star grass and some cryptos (red).

    Eprouve,
Didn't mean to insult you **grin**... juz my opinion that's all.

Teo's address is actually '15' but he moved his entrance and that's why the address at the board is showing '50'. Dun ask me why is it like that.. gotta get the information from teo himself.... [] []
    Cheers!!

    Sherwin,
I know... I did say comments welcome [] [] Hopefully it turns out well! Yup, I know their address WAS "15". Spoke to Teo telling him that he needed a sign of some sort... he also said that "15" was a temporary address until the entrance was moved so now, all his namecards read "50" with the original "15" cancelled out[:0]. The new entrance has a LH and discus poster on it and I didnt pay much attention to the place, so I drove up and down 6C several times... I even tried 6D and 6F, before I decided to look closely and see the rubbish bin.[]

    Ryan,
Call you for what? I knew you were racing what... you told me. So I just dropped off your stuff in your mailbox. Anyway, its Yahoo Photo Album here

Hi all, almost 2 months after and here's an update...

p/s: Sherwin, how do you like the wood that is "too big for your taste" now? Better right? []

I'm pretty pleased witht he results. I did a few minor changes here and there as well, like removing the Riccia mesh as it had started to float.

Hi nice flowers! is it a floating plant?Thought I'd seen it growing rooted in marshy areas.

the unknown plant is a mystery; though the first leaves seem to be cardamine lyrata, although the stem looks too thick for it to be.

Clarence: The flowers is from Eichhornia diversifloia, not Heteranthera zosterifolia (Star Grass) as I noticed from the filename you assigned to the image. Compare with mine and the Star Grass.

Hmmm... able to see the 1st pic now....

With plants growing on the wood, it does remove the focus significantly making it more look more natural.
    Cheers!!

Hmm... Juggler... you're right. Well, I was given this when I asked for Stargrass at Teo's... Not by Teo, but some other guy working there. Didn't find out the correct name till recently.
