did you notice any nice apistos?
a few peices of sula shrimps are carrying eggs also =D
Hypseleotris compressa (Empire gudgeon) is coloring up very nicely. The red markings are very pronounced. I think there are 3 males and 2 females altogether.
No new Apistogramma spp. though, all leftovers from the last batch I think.
The males are a pale, neutral color throughout most of the year, they turn bright red just in time for mating season. This color change begins at the fish’s mouth and gradually spreads backwards, continuing until the fish is red all over. The male fish uses this bright color to attract mates, and the vibrant coloration does not outlast its usefulness. The morning after the mating concludes, the male fish return to their natural pale color—a skin tone far more appropriate for hiding from predators. So i guess they are ready to mate? Take note!
Wonder anyone in the forum have experience in breeding Empire Gudgeons.

Saw them too but I think there's slight damage on their fins?
