    any difference in that?

We do not condone such attempts to state prices this way as well.

AQ do not wish to cause any unhappiness between LFS due to mindless price slashing. And reporting prices is one good way to sow unhappiness.

So please guys, refrain from listing out preferential rates.

My personal take on the issue of raising prices is that with increased fuel charges, it meant that freight charges are rising. Today in the papers, some airlines are increasing their fuel surcharges. We cannot expect the shops to absorb this increase just for us. Moreover, the Euro is gaining ground over the years. Forex also plays a part in price increases.

I'm thinking of getting the Ecco series (2236 if I'm not wrong). Heard it is the most power-saving of all the models. Has anyone been using this model? I think the price quoted two months ago at C328 has been revised, but am not sure. Wonder if this model is good enough for a 3 feet planted tank? I'm currently using Atman 3337 and it's been leaking and choking. Since we are discouraged from posting prices, can someone pm me the estimate new pricing of this model? I've checked with some nearby lfs and the prices quoted differ quite substantially. Thanks.

All distributors give their LFS a range of prices to sell. So it is nothing wrong with the substantial difference.

One example is the 2213. In the past before the price increase, the lowest price for the 2213 given by QH is $88. But at QH, they are selling at something like $120+, which is the recommended retail price.

This is to allow flexibility in the shops to determine how much overheads they need to cover. For example utilities, rental, inventory keeping and GST. There are many factors to take into account as well when we see pricing.

Yes, I am intending to buy a 2028 and went to a LFS today. The shop happens to have both models in stock and the price difference between old and new is more than $70! So does anyone knows whether there are signficant changes made to justify this price increase? thanks.
