do you mean without centre brace?
Can anyone tell me where to buy/made-to-order 6ft tank (with cabinet) but without brace. Someone told me that only good tank-maker 'dares' to make such tank.
I know Aquamart and Aquatechnic will be able to make one for me but I am looking for options because of price. H2O have these tanks too but they are curve-edged.
Looks like I am sinking deeper and deeper into the dream of owning a 6ft tank.....

thomas liew
you will probably be looking at an external brace
a totally braceless 6ft tank is unrealistic, even if they use the strongest glass they can find
bioplast does have some nice 6ft tanks, but they come with centre braces and they're not exactly cheap
but you might want to check them out for options
i've a dream of owning a 6ft tank one day too.![]()
questions:
- remember someone said here that 'officially' 6ft tanks are not allowed in hdb flat. how about 5ft then? i don't want to go thru all the trouble and one fine day the authorities will come and ask me to remove!!! [:0]
- on the issue of braces for 6ft tanks. noticed at qianhu that their oceanfree frameless curved-front tanks are without braces. are these considered 'dangerous'?
gotta plan properly... [:]

P-L-E-C-O-R-Y=M-A-N-I-A!!! YEAH!
FLORENCE, capital of the region of Tuscany, has a population of around half a million inhabitants, spreads on the banks of the Arno, between the Adriatic and the Tyrrhenian seas, almost in the middle of the Italian peninsula. It is a city which bustles with industry and craft, commerce and culture, art and science.
i think that a 6ft braceless is extremely dangerous even if the tank are well made....usually they will have bracing like bioplast as yimin has mentioned or a metal frame covered with wood at the top.
coryfav as long as you are in the boundary of below 1kg ton plus legless cabinet to spread out the weight the flooring should hold. Try placing the tank near structural beams.

The title below my name does not make me a guru...listen at your own risk!...
'officially' only 3ft tanks are allowed
4ft tanks oso cannot
this info comes from my parents who work in hdb![]()
Damn to HDB, so kiasu. I think such rule like only-3ft-allowed started in the 1960s. Last time all windows also small and high, looks like prison cell. Must be afraid people walk too fast and fall off the flat and die. Now the new flat has ceiling-to-floor window. Anyone works in HDB here? If so, how about suggesting a change of rule to allow 6ft??[]
nicky, if everyone happens to have a 6footer in his flat, then the whole block might just collapse... i think.![]()
