hi, i am newbie in keeping wild bettas and i am thinking of keeping channoides and albimarginata. i am thinking of feeding them tubifex, pinhead crickets and baby shrimplets. would that be ok?

No need to trouble yourself and feed them so much variety of food. Just frozen bloodworm and the occasional treat of live shrimps will do. Where are you getting your Wild Albi from? The farm or house bred ones currently available in LFS are of low quality. Mine Wild pair of Albi that I sneaked in from HongKong died last year, had them for 2years, a productive pair too.
erm, i was thinking of getting mine from forummers here.
i though that feeding them a wide variety of food will make them more healthy.
i heard that biotope aquarium may stock either one of the bettas i want, do they? what other wild bettas do they stock?
hmm it is really hard to tell whether fish shops really do bring in wilds... most of them are farm bred though. i see no harm in purchasing those... its up to your individual picking skills.. whether you get a good quality purchase or not. my albi pair are farm bred.. at first when i bought them the male had no white seams at all.. and now it is a full fletch white seam fighter.
back to your question..
they LOVE blood worms. brine shrimp is good and convenient. but live young shrimps are difficult to cultivate. crickets are too big. tubifex is dangerous. yeap.

what i meant was pinhead crickets. they are actually baby crickets and are about 0.3cm. live young shrimps are easy to keep, i have at least 100 in my tank. so if i feed them live young shrimps, pinhead crickets, frozen bloodworms and the occasional brine shrimp, will it be ok?
More than ok. I only feed them frozen mysis and once in a while hatch bbs.
