Need Help to ID Algae

Hi All,

I have been reading the threads on algae identification but still could not pinpoint what I am currently having. It looks nice growing on my DW but then I am seeing growth on my Windelov too. Any way to get rid of it besides cutting off the parts that are affected? I am keen to let it grow on my DW. Is this advisable? Apologies for the poor photography.

Hmm..
That's strange because I can see it.

It's look like green spot algae growing on the DW and also can be found on leave.
Green spot algae is very commonly seen on the glass, DW and leaves, when there hasn’t been a water change in awhile, or when an inadequate fertilization scheme has been conducted. GSA also appears on long lasting leaves, such as Java Fern, Anubias, and Bolbitus.

Hi Cpark,

I do have GSA on my tank glass.
It appeared after my holiday trip to Malaysia.
I am regularly scraping it off the glass before my water change.

Is the bushy growth on my DW GSA?
I compared it with pictures from the "Article on Algae Identification" thread and it does not look the same.

Thanks, that is what I thought too.
However, I ned to be certain before I take the steps to remove it.

The website said that it "can be eliminated with Simazine" but I want more confirmation/replies to avoid buying the wrong product.
