    Hi everyone,

I am rescaping my previous 2 ft.tank into another new scape and the theme of this tank " the nature park" and hope to get some ideas and comments from bro here. My hand start to itch when seeing many of them started to rescape their tank and that's include me to join in the idea of rescaping. May be tired of seeing the old tank. I took a picture of the DW and the rocks placement with another picture is a rough sketch of the plants that I intend to put in. May be some ideas of plants require to change, to make up the tank more stunning.

Intrigueing little project. Shall be interested to see how this one goes. Looks aethetically pleasing from your plans, the tricky thing will be implementing it to look like this, its always hard

Hi Verminator, I agree with you it's not easy to implement the look alike in the sketch, but hopefully I'm able to come up with more natural scene in the tank.
But I'm using back the old gravel and not sure the plants growth will affected?
Anyway I got a box of JBL 7 balls fertilizer for aquatic plants roots and is the first time using it. Try out to see any good result.

Hahaha, torque6, you still remember that 3 ft.tank, now this one I got the idea from the show " Jurrasic Park River Adventure". This will help me to remember that show. As for Star Wars, Luke Skywalker is in the 3 ft. tank still looking good. Cheers.

Just a suggestion. I would bury the wood slightly down to the soil and titled the branch slightly upwards, when plant grow you may not see the center path anymore.

The wood is full of character! Can't wait to see the finished work.
By the way, saw a drawing of right hand rock with nana? Are you planning to tie it on? It will be the first of its kind

So the next theme "Nature Park" is intended for "KungFu Panda"???

Anyway, nice design & would really love to see it when it's up... Cheers!!!

Yeap, I try to tilt the branch a bit upward to see what it looks like, may be better this way. Thanks for suggestion.

Hi Maurice, my DW looks more like a fallen tree, and act as a crossing trunk from one of the scene in Jurrasic Park. The nana will be tie to the rock and some on to the wood. Usually those on wood tent to grow faster and rock slower thats what I experience. Soon the setup picture will post out.

    Hi everyone,
I think many are waiting to see this setup " The Nature Park", and I finally got my tank finished according to my dream of Jurrasic park theme. Hopefully you like the design of this tank.

    Change river form to pathway
There is a problem which probably the scene on the water running in the river does not give good effect on the finishing. So I decided to change it into a pathway with brown soil. Hahaha... good for jogging.

I post herewith 2 pictures of the difference view to show all the hard work that gives me back ache.Setup a new tank and equipment are much easier than rescaping an old tank, especially scraping the glass and cleaning the gravels.

Please comments or feed back, so that I can improve my aquascaping skill. Any opinion on which tank to select " with river or with pathway"?

    Hope you enjoy seeing it.

Jurassic Park! Yes, it will be a great scape with this theme. I remember the scene with the fallen tree and I was thinking to myself it would be a great layout. Low lying shady plants will add more to the jungle them, like bolbitis, jave ferns, moss.

I vote river for your project.

    Hi Bro M.Cheong,

Yeh!!! you are the first to reponse to my thread, you think I should add more plants like bolbitis and java fern to make it looks more like jungle. Good suggestion.

I would sugest to make the river or path way wider at front and thiner at the back, it will create depth to the scape. my 2 cents

Yes, I have the pebble and hair grass in the tank, I think should add more to the river bank as you said. Good advise.

I think adding more dark hue shady plants on the sides will be good to emphasize the void around the path
Bern still suck at Water Chemistry + Plant Names
