Glad to find an active aquarium forums here. After 3 years absence from this hobby due to work committment, I am raring to start a tank again. Aiming for a 4ft planted discus tank

That's quite a project you have to start.
I suppose you base from earlier should help.
There are some notable planted discus setup in the aquascaping section.
Do a search and find inspiration.

thanks celticfish. Yes I am feverishly reading to get myself up to speed. thanks for the tips Juz placed a deposit for a custom tank today. It will be three weeks before delivery, so will be researching and getting all the things I need in the mean time Learning from my past planted tank which had lots of lights and heavy plant growth leading to maintenance fatique, I am aiming for slightly slower growing plants this time round.
