Went down to Seaview to take a look at the apistos on sale there... and spotted a pair of Apistogramma diplotaenia.. was not expecting to see that species at all.

Other species for sale include several pairs of Ap. macmasteri Super Red, Ap. Viejita, Ap. sp. "Pebas", Ap. agassizii "Tefe", and Ap. cacatuoides. Some of the Tefes looked more like Ap. agassizii "Alenquer" to me, but i may be wrong. One pair of the sp. "Pebas" in particular looked quite good.

Besides apistos, there was also Pelvicachromis taeniatus "Nigerian Red" (i was sorely tempted to buy these, many beautiful occelli on the caudal fins), Dicrossus filamentosus and Dicrossus maculatus.

Yep. Really surprised me. Evidence that Seaview throws up some goodies every now and then.

Nope.. They are all released into the tank le.. However color is so so only.. The Diplo looks colorless to me though they are larger in size.. Not sure if they will color up when someone bring them home.. The Vij Gold looks better but very small in size.. Think about both less than 2 cm only..

Yup, saw the viejita gold. Very small pair i should say, but they look good. Theres one particular pair of hongsloi where the male got some potential there.

Just came back from Seaview.. Nothing much to update.. No new apistos The Vij Gold is still there.. Looking small but healthy.. As for Dicrossus filamentosus and Dicrossus maculatus, Can't really tell the difference between the 2 at seaview although the price are definitely different..
