Your glosso is doing very good, it will cover the whole patch soon, good runners spreading. The soil is abit fine thought as compare to aquasoil, aquasoil is easier for it to root down as it has more space and not so pact.

Final update of my tank before i'm changing most of the plants to slow growing crypts and echinodorous sp. because i think i suck at keeping them in a good shape

Plants to go are glosso, rotalas and some of the E. tenellus.

Anyone interested in them can give me a pm first or wait for me to post in WTS section. Cheers

Your glosso is so tall due to lack of light penetrating the depth of your tank.

Perhaps try plants that grow larger, and don't require trimming to look stunning. Plants such as Echinodorus Uruguayensis, Cryptocoryne Albida, Cryptocoryne Crispatula, Cyperus Helferi, Ludwigia Glandulosa

Just to name a few stunning plants that require less, if little pruning to look stunning

For such high depth tank, T5 may not be able to penetrate to the bottom, either you have thick substrate or using Metal Halide light to do the job to make your glosso or the rest of the plant grow well, if not, you'll still get leggy plant again, worst is when you have thick bushy plant, the bottom stem will turn black and break off.

    Thanks for the replies.

The glosso start to grow tall due to the fact that i only switched on 2x54W for 8 hours instead of 4x54W when i first started as i was too lazy to maintain the glosso and the other fast growing plants.

And when i've decided to rescape, haha, no maintenance was done at all and that explains the glosso.

Yea, had in plan crypts. will look into the list and see if mizuworld or LFS do sell them.

    thanks!

Echinodorus will swallow up your hardscape. I think crypts-only are a better choice.
