a couple of questions for the pros out there:

i have kept my tank for about a month already, and 2 days ago, i noticed that on the glass surface, algae or moss-like growth began to surface. i wonder if i can leave them there or remove them?

my tank is placed on my balcony and away from the sunlight. someone also told me that my tetras will not be able to take those heat. is it true? admittedly, i got a few dead fish in my first 2 weeks , but i am not sure what is the cause of it. now, things have stabilized.....

    thanks!

The tetras could be a number of causes but since they have stabilized that's not a problem now.
The algae on the glass is something I get too from tanks near the window, not neccessarily direct sunlight too.
It seems the ambient light is very strong and enough to cause algae formy tanks in such locations.
One easy way to remove them every now and then is to use an old plastic credit card and scrape it away.
I usually do this before a water change too.
