Plants do not necessary have to be bubbling to do well. Dont worry too much and let your plant grows. Your HG was quite densely planted, so its a good start.

updated, changed lights to 24W but still the plants are not bubbling at all
tried trimming the plants and they bubble for around 2hrs and stop again... very disappointing. Yes i know that plants dont have to bubble to show that they're healthy but nothing beats seeing your plants bubbling in the tank...

Kindly let me know how my plants are doing.. thanks

Add some source of PO4 and micros. The substrate should provide enough N for now but later on, you might need to supplement it. Something limiting in the chain would cause the whole growth rate to slow down.

overall, good work, since you have started with more HG plant mass when i first started. I am dosing K with kno3, equilibrium and K itself, targetting around 20ppm per week, in 5 doses.

Jervis, you do have sharp eyes yea guess its time to introduce some otos and shrimps.

Peter, I'm kinda bad at technical terms, currently dosing Seachem Flourish Potassium, Seachem Flourish Supplement and Seachem Flourish Phosphorus. Which source of liquid fert gives PO4 and micros?

Torque6, i actually threw away quite alot of them cause they kept coming out which pissed me off :P dont really have much patience.

Photoperiod go for 7hr straights instead of the current one, once your plant grow massive, go for 8-10hrs photoperiod. Before light is on, CO2 have to on for 2hrs early and half hour early cut off before the light turn off. That should get your plant grow well. Hope it helps!

thanks blue33, will get another timer to control the co2, currently both of them go on at the same time.
    changed my photo period from 10am - 4pm, 6pm - 8pm.

No! What i mean is you can set it to 10-7 and no more 6-8.

Got to play with timing, between 6-10 is the best timing, depending on your plant growth.

whats the logic behind the co2 ?
as in leaving it running 2hrs before lights on and 30mins after lights off.

have another question, how do i trim the back plants? now i just cut off the leaf halfway, is that fine ?
