that's what i do too. 5~10 minutes soak is all it takes.

those 'colour safe' bleach do not work well. even after soaking for 1/2 hour, the algae is still there.

Nicholas, i think it's easier to use generic bleach, phyton git is for other purpose.

    Cheers!

I saw phyton git as well, but didnt buy. Stick with clorox as recommended as it been tested with good results as well, not too expensive too.

A method to share. I am just sharing to give you an option, so pls don't hold me responsible if you do not get the desired result on your ceremic diffusor, or if your equipment get wasted. Worked for me, not sure about your case.

Use a metal gauze - those used to scrub wok - to scrape the ceremic in circular motion. Algae will come off. This will make the ceremic thinner every time you do it. So pls do it in a controlled manner. As thinning it makes targeted areas of the plate more breathable, it may make larger - or probably whole - area of the plate emit C02 if done properly.

Please don't try it on the ADA diffuser, they're very delicate. Broke 2 already. The ceramic dish can break into half if the pressure of the CO2 burst suddenly & if the dish is choke.

It's a nice piece of glass.

    Cheers!
